BeachesCabo de la Plata to the east and Zahara to the west are both within walking distance. These beaches with long stretches of golden sand are unspoilt and beautiful. The sea is warm and wonderful to swim in. In the height of summer you can find Chiringuitos ( beach bars) for drinks, meals and music, during the rest of the year the beaches are mostly empty. Picnic, barbecue, play ball , body surf or skinny dip – your choice.
Drive 30 minutes to the east to Tarifa for Kite surfing, to Bolonia for magnificent Roman Ruins, or to the west to Cabo Trafalgar where The Battle of Trafalgar took place or to the surfers hotspot at El Palmar.
